Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox received a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. Lennox made it through on a student's stipend working part-time in order to supplement her earnings. Lennox as she was studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy about her performances in comparison to the other students. Then she began to consider other options. Lennox played the flute in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. The group did not get to compete in the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. Between 1977 and 1980, she was vocalist for The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Lennox went on to release her first solo album Diva. The album came out in 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise from critics and the public. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's favourite blues, jazz, and soul songs of her youth. In addition in May 2019 Lennox released Lepidoptera a collection of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. First album of hers, Now I'm Letting You go... is the soundtrack to her exhibit of artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on the 25th of December. She is a social activist, philanthropist as well as a performer. After a brief recognition as part of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s, Lennox and co-musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the duo known as Eurythmics during the 1980s. The year 1992 was the year Lennox started her own solo career with the release of her first album Diva that produced a number of hit songs, such as Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. The album features covers of such songs as"No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo albums include six studio albums and compilation albums.
