Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child one of Richard McCormick. She was raised by a mother who was household worker and father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her older brothers. McCormick always enjoyed singing, dancing and putting on puppet shows. After winning her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 year old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see what she thought about getting into the world of entertainment. McCormick landed her first major task in 1964 when she starred in a TV commercial featuring Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she starred in another commercial for Mattels Chatty Cathy doll and was shortly cast in the musical Wind It Up And It Breaks on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was in the company of over 1200 other kids to play the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had an unmarried family. The show ran for five years. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice released in 2008, McCormick admitted that in the fifth season of the show, she almost lost her virginity to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams. He was 19. She was 16. She told me that it could have been possible, but we didn't have the proper timing.
